The weather is finally starting to warm up out here on the east coast which means it’s almost time to hit the links! Don’t forget about Interactive Promotions Group’s sister company, US Hole In One, for all of your hole in one, putting, and shootout needs.
US Hole In One frequently get phone calls from customers, new and old, who want to add something to their regular hole in one insurance. The conversation usually leads to the talk of adding a putting contest. However, we have found that many people are very confused when they find out that they must narrow down their field of golfers to just a few people. The reasoning behind this is very simple; the odds of making a putt are far better than hitting a hole in one. Once people hear this they usually understand.
If you are browsing US Hole In One’s website and checking out information regarding the putting contests this will help you understand the sample pricing. It says “Number of Finalists” on the putting pricing versus the “Number of Amateurs” that is shown on the sample pricing for the hole in one insurance coverage.
Many of our customers select their finalist(s) one of two ways. They will either run a putting contest to narrow all of the golfers down to one or two finalists or they will have a raffle. Since many of the tournaments that US Hole In One provides coverage for are non-profit events most people go the raffle route because it’s a great way to raise extra money for the charity. If you choose to do a putt off you will just need to make sure that the qualifying putts are not more than half the distance of the final putt (i.e. if the final putt is 50 feet the qualifiers cannot be longer than 25 feet) and the final putt for the big prize must be on a different hole than where the qualifying putts took place.
